MJS Packaging was lucky to have Gina Harrison join the team as an Account Specialist in 2021. Gina has had a rich career in sales, starting out working in both inside sales and outside sales in the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. She then traveled to the United States in 2017, where she served in an inside sales role for an industrial supply company.
SOLD ON MJS
Gina was drawn to MJS Packaging because it is a family-owned company. She had experienced a similar work culture before and knew it could be a great fit. Even in difficult times, she could see that MJS Packaging was different. Gina reflects on starting during the pandemic:
“HR arranged Zoom meetings with all the team members every day for 2 weeks to help us get familiar with this company and our co-workers. It tells you a lot about how this company cares about its employees. They want to help you fit in ASAP and let you know that even if you are working from home the whole company will help you get the resources you need.”
Gina stressed that MJS Packaging coworkers are both professional, friendly and quickly ready to offer support. She can see that work-life balance is emphasized here.
IT’S IN HER BLOOD
The sales bug sunk its teeth into Gina on an internship during her final year of college. Gina says she really had a knack for selling integrated circuit (IC) chips. “It’s in my blood,” she laughs. Gina loves to interact with customers, helping them find solutions for their products and fixing any problems that arise. She helps to verify the root cause of an issue and fix things in a timely manner. She is really motivated by being able to assist customers and hear that they are satisfied. It motivates her to continuously improve. Her advice on facing a challenge? Be patient with your customers and listen to them.
PACKAGING INSIGHT
Gina works with many of our food and beverage customers, helping create the perfect packaging solutions. She has learned a lot in her time here. Check out a few fast facts she wanted to share:
#1: Did you know that hot filling or cold filling a product determines the type of resin you should use?
#2: Different liners can increase your shelf life and prevent paneling and bloating.
#3: A consumer decides within a matter of seconds which product they are going to buy on the shelf. A great label can make your product stand out above the rest.

Gina can speak three languages: English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. When it comes to getting the job done, one of her favorite quotes come to mind: “Nothing will work unless you do.” We are glad to have Gina as a determined and motivated member of our team. She states: “You can find an excuse, or you can find a way. The determination makes a big difference in everything you do.”
