It’s official! MJS Packaging has been named Crain’s Detroit Business 2023 Best Places to Work. Our team is thrilled to be awarded among the Best Places to Work in Southeast Michigan by Best Companies Group in partnership with Crain’s Detroit Business.

Crain’s Best Places to Work awards 100 companies through a statewide survey that identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Southeast Michigan that benefit the area’s economy, workforce and businesses. Best Companies Group ranks the applicants based on data from an extensive employer questionnaire and on the results of company-wide employee surveys. The evaluation consisted of a 25% weight on company characteristics and a 75% weight on employee experience surveys.
It’s important to us that employees have a welcoming work environment, positive work experience and policies that support work-life balance. We are ecstatic to see that our employee-centric focus on company culture is paying off. In recent years, our team has made substantial efforts to expand our policies and perks for our workforce. MJS Packaging has implemented a hybrid work model, a relaxed dress code, Summer Friday early dismissals, holiday shutdown paid time off December 24 – January 1, volunteer paid time off, employee service awards, monthly social activities, monthly lunches and bagel Tuesdays, Headspace subscriptions for mental wellbeing, improved paid parental leave and expedited PTO accrual increases.
Our Best Places to Work survey results supported the evidence that these improvements are making an impact, with cited employee feedback stating that employees enjoy the level of work-life balance, the fun social events and the supportive work environment.
